A Night With Neil Diamond at Alexa Park LV
ROB GARRETT’S “KING OF DIAMONDS” Neil Diamond tribute Las Vegas residency CONTINUES ON in the “MODERN SHOWROOMS” at Alexis Park Las Vegas Hotel.
Music icon Neil Diamond is one of the best-selling and most iconic singer/songwriters in pop/rock music history.
Besides being one of the biggest selling and concert drawing artists ever, he’s also created and performed the soundtrack of our lives — including some of the most recognized songs on the planet.
In the beginning of 2018, shortly before his 77th year, Neil Diamond retired from touring after being affected by Parkinson’s.
However, Diamond’s concert legacy continues to be celebrated for audiences worldwide through tribute artist Rob Garrett, often called “the best of the best”.
Ask Siri “who is America’s number one Neil Diamond tribute artist,” and you’ll always hear Rob Garrett.
Like his musical hero, Rob Garrett was a Brooklyn, New York native.
In May 1974, his parents moved the family from New York City to the Las Vegas Valley, where, in 1976, he witnessed his first live Neil Diamond show when Diamond debuted in Las Vegas to record crowds at the Aladdin Hotel’s “Theater for the Performing Arts” in July 1976.
Garrett went on to see him 16 more times across the country—right up until Diamond’s last American show at the LA Forum on August 12, 2017.
In 1980, Garrett created his own band, “Rock n Roll Heaven,” and enjoyed a successful 15-year run in Las Vegas and across the nation before transitioning from cover band frontman to a tribute artist dedicated to one of his musical idols.
In 1995, Garrett was hand-picked by the legendary Paul Revere to portray Neil Diamond in the world-famous “Legends in Concert” review.
What was meant to be a short engagement turned into a three-year success.
By August 1998, Garrett was back in Vegas and continued to perform with “Legends” for another two years before deciding to launch his own show.
He began a busy tour circuit, building a strong worldwide fan community along the way—earning the title “King of Diamonds Neil Diamond Tribute.”
He continues to perform to sold-out venues nationwide, often in venues fit for superstars.
Garrett has also earned several honors, including “Male Tribute Artist of the Year.”
“Since he (Diamond) announced his retirement, I’ve felt a strong sense of responsibility to keep his legacy alive for future generations. It’s something I never get tired of doing,” he said.
On May 19, 2025 officially proclaimed the date “Rob Garrett Day,” commemorating his 50 years living in Las Vegas and 44 years as a Rob Garrett Neil Diamond Tribute Show for groups professional Vegas performer.
Now in 2025, Garrett celebrates 45 years as an active Las Vegas entertainer, with the last three decades devoted solely to paying tribute to the now-retired Neil Diamond.
It has been said that no other tribute artist is so closely identified with the original performer as Garrett, who has performed his show at more Las Vegas venues than any other tribute artist.
Since the June closing of “A Beautiful Noise” (the Broadway jukebox musical based on Diamond’s life story), Rob Garrett’s “King of Diamonds” show has become the nation’s sole ongoing Neil Diamond tribute show.
Alexis Park Resort Hotel is located at 375 E. Harmon Ave., about a quarter mile from Paradise Road.
